Bryan Nielsen joins Interactive Media

Press Release Published by The Saratogian and Saratoga Today

Saratoga Springs -- Interactive Media Consulting, LLC, a Saratoga Springs Web site development firm, has hired 2009 Skidmore graduate Bryan Nielsen for its newly created Web Developer position. Nielsen's background in both computer programming and art (both traditional and digital) will complement and expand the firm's services for its growing roster of Capital Region clients. With the addition of Nielsen, IMC will be able to expand its dynamic programming and Flash-based development.

"We are impressed not only with Bryan's skills in programming, digital art, and digital music, but also with his demonstrated ability to communicate well with a wide variety of technology users, which will help him in assisting our clients," noted Beth Moeller, owner of Interactive Media Consulting. Nielsen will be working at IMC's expanded offices in the historic Collamer Building, where it recently moved from its former first-floor location to Suite 220, a larger space on the second floor overlooking Broadway.

While at Skidmore, where Nielsen received a Bachelor or Science degree with honors in computer-oriented digital arts, he was named Student Employee of the Year in 2008-2009. His work included helping to maintain the multi-user environment of the Math/Computer Science department and assisting in designing, creating, and maintaining select school, faculty, and club Web sites, blogs, and wikis.

A resident of Saratoga Springs, Nielsen recently became a certified professional rescuer for the American Red Cross, serves as a youth group leader for the New Life Fellowship church, and volunteers at the Saratoga EOC soup kitchen. In his free time, he plays the guitar and piano.

Nielsen begins work at IMC during a very busy year at the firm, with IMC launching new or re-designed sites for 18 clients in 2009, ranging from Luther Forest Technology Campus to Lake George Opera at Saratoga.

IMC's newest crop of sites uses a range of technologies, from the Flash-enhanced Luther Forest Technology Campus site to the database-powered Scott Varley Group site to Captured Light Gift Photography, a consumer gift registry and e-commerce site.

Established in 1996, Interactive Media Consulting provides Web site development and hosting services, as well as general Internet training services. IMC serves a variety of commercial clients in the greater Capital District, including Saratoga Economic Development Corporation; Albany College of Pharmacy; Anderson Instrument Company; The Scott Varley Group; Pfeil and Company; Siro's; and Sloppy Kisses Pet Boutique.

In Saratoga Springs, IMC is known for supporting non-profit organizations and community events, including Universal Preservation Hall, SaratogaArtsFest, Saratoga Mentoring Program, Saratoga YMCA and its popular First Night, the Children's Museum at Saratoga, and Home Made Theater.
